Answering the call to help wild bears
For The Love Of Bears is a nonprofit committed to bears and the critical ecosystems they call home
Through conservation, education, research, and advocacy we seek to safeguard the future of bears.
Conservation
Our belief is that by conserving habitat for bears, we benefit their future. Alaska with all three North American bear species joins Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming in being prime grizzly habitat. With black bears living in 41 states we have our work cut out for us as we aim to protect all bears and their habitat.
Education
Whether one calls bear country home or is simply visiting, special precautions are needed to keep both humans and bears safe. Our aim is to educate hikers, campers, hunters, photographers, and all those who pursue recreation in the bear’s backyard.
Research
A greater understanding of bears promotes respectful coexistence. We support scientific research of bears and their habitat through various means. We support scientific studies and journals with complementary imagery, and when funds allow, we support projects we believe have the potential to directly help bears.
Advocacy
Bears are charismatic creatures, every child loves bears, though most don’t ever get the opportunity to experience wild bears. It is our belief that by telling the bear’s story we engage the masses to stand up for conservation and the protection of bears.
Photography
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Through photography we aim to connect individuals with the captivating lives of wild bears. For the Love of Bears shares a continuous stream of content providing the opportunity to glimpse into the lives of bears.
Experience
Once a person experiences bears in their natural habitat, a bond is formed. With cultivation, that bond can lead to passionately advocacy for bears. A major part of our five year plan is to provide ways for individuals to have transformational experiences with bears in safe and responsible ways.
